Woodville Baptist Church

Elders

Ruth Miles

“I have lived in Cardiff since coming to uni aged 18.  I’m married to Gerwyn and we have three sons. My heart is to see men, women and children in Woody living in a deepening relationship with God, reaching their full potential in Him and demonstrating the love of Jesus to the people of Cathays.  My particular desire is to see women at Woody empowered and released into the purposes that God has for them. I am involved in prayer ministry, women’s ministry and Foodbank.”

Martin Pearce

“I grew up in Bristol and then moved here to Cardiff for university in 1997. I feel very at home in such a vibrant city. I joined Woody in 2001 and have loved being a member of the fellowship since. My wife, Clare, and I met through activities within the church and it is great to raise our children in the family of believers. Having been part of the children’s ministry for a number of years and a house group leader as well, it has been a real privilege to watch people of all ages develop their relationship with Jesus. As an elder I hope to see God impacting lives even more.”

Annabel Chaloner

She works part time as a college lecturer in maths and psychology and is married to Justin – they have two boys.
