We have a range of activities and events aimed at children and youth here at Woody.

SUNDAY SERVICES

CAFÉ Kids – all ages

Woody CAFÉ is a new type of service held every second and fourth Sunday of the month. We have great fun at CAFÉ! We have lots of fun activities to choose from around the hall – sport, Wii, bouncy castle, crafts etc. We then all come together for a game, worship and bible story using different media – learning how we can apply God’s word to our lives.

Creche – ages 0-7

On the first Sunday of the month we run a creche in the lounge. We provide toys, games, crafts and snacks.

Junior club – ages 8-11

We meet on the first Sunday of the month. We start with a youth club style set up – Wii, football, remote control car racing, crafts, table tennis etc. After snacks we give the children an opportunity to anonymously ask any question they have about God, then when we meet again we try to answer them.

Genesis – ages 11-16

We are a small group of young people who meet twice a month on a Sunday morning for discussion-based activities. We have done different courses (e.g. looking at baptism, Freedom in Christ) and the youth like to have debates! We also have socials – visiting parks, grabbing an ice cream from Coco Gelato’s next door, outdoor pursuit trips etc. Once a month we join with Rhiwbina Baptist youth for our youth club ‘Emerge’ event on a Sunday evening. We also have strong links with ‘Firestarters’ where our youth join other youth from South Wales to worship, have fellowship and get great teaching.

MIDWEEK

Little Acorns – ages 0-5

On Wednesday afternoons from 1.15 – 2.45 pm in school term time we have a parent and toddler group called Little Acorns. Aimed at children aged 0-5 and their grown ups this involves crafts, play, snack time and songs. A friendly and welcoming group!
