Project Description

Children and Youth Team Leader

Laura Twell is our Children and Youth Team Leader.

Laura has been part of the church for over 20 years, and in 2017 was appointed to work for the church as the children and youth team leader. Her role is to oversee the Children and youth work and our parent and toddler group on a Wednesday afternoon.

Getting Involved with the Children and Youth at Woodville Baptist Church

If you are interested in getting involved in our children’s work, there are a variety of areas you could help with:

We have activities (Crèche / Little Fishes / Bodybuilders / Genesis) for 0-14 years on a Sunday morning.

On Wednesday afternoons from 1.15 – 2.45 pm in school term time we have a parent and toddler group called Little Acorns. This involves crafts, play, snack time and songs. A friendly and welcoming group!

If you are interested in getting involved with any children’s ministries, please talk to the Children’s and Youth Worker using the contact form available from the tab above.

Safeguarding Children

The church operates a safeguarding children policy, and all children’s work volunteers and church leaders have been checked with the Criminal Records Bureau. We also take up references for all new volunteers. Our volunteers and leaders also attend training on child protection.

As well as a safeguarding co-ordinator to deal with policy and administration, we also have a designated person for dealing with any child protection issues that arise.

We subscribe to the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service.

The policy is available on request for anyone to read, from the church office.
